Our mission is to fulfill two objectives of equal importance: 1) research innovation and discovery; 2) train the next generation of leading biomedical researchers. Dan and other senior members of the lab make it a top priority to help trainees take the next step in their careers. We help make professional connections for our lab members and we train them on the professional development skills that they will need going forward (e.g., how to interview, how to give good scientific talks, scientific writing etc.). Working in the lab is a two-way street; our trainees give the lab their best effort and in return they will feel prepared to take the next big step in their professional career journey when the time comes.
